This Howard Johnson is just 2 miles from downtown Newport and the Mansions. Facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool spa, sauna, 2 outdoor tennis courts, guest laundry, and a video game area. Rooms with 2 beds are large, and all upper floor rooms have a balcony. Half of the guestrooms are newly renovated into "Deluxe Home Office" rooms, which feature a microwave, refrigerator, cordless phone and other special amenities. Pets ($5/pet/night) are permitted in standard
rooms on the ground level only. Special rules apply. A nice shopping area including the Christmas Tree Shop is adjacent to the Inn and you will find over 80 other restaurants either within walking distance or in nearby downtown Newport.
Applebee's Restaurant is attached to the Inn. Continental Breakfast ($3.99pp) is available 7am-10am. Applebee's reopens daily at 11:00am and closes Sunday through Thursday at 10:00 pm and Friday & Saturday at 11:00 pm. Restaurant closed on Thanksgiving & Christmas: continental breakfast served in lobby on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
